Losarnia Hamilton, DNP, APRN, is a compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at My Psychiatrist in South Florida. With a diverse background in various healthcare settings—including the Emergency Room and inpatient facilities—Losarnia brings extensive experience in treating a wide range of mental health conditions.
She specializes in women’s health, postpartum and prepartum mental health, mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, impulsive/disruptive behavior disorders, psychotic disorders, PTSD, depression, schizophrenia, and more. Losarnia is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals struggling with mental health issues.
Journey and Approach to Care
Losarnia pursued her education at Miami Dade College in Miami Dade, Florida, where she obtained her Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degrees. Driven by her passion for mental health, she went on to attend Florida Atlantic University, earning her Master of Science in Nursing, fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Combining her extensive knowledge, caring attitude, and exceptional interpersonal skills, Losarnia effectively assesses, diagnoses, and treats the mental health needs of her patients. She firmly believes in treating patients in a comprehensive manner—addressing the body, mind, and soul—to facilitate healing and overall well-being. Her holistic approach ensures that her patients receive the highest quality care and support on their journey to mental wellness.
