Mitch El Khouri, RMHCI, is a dedicated Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern at My Psychiatrist. He specializes in working with immigrants, immigrant families, and individuals from diverse cultural and minority backgrounds. Michel draws from a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and existential approaches to help clients manage anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, identity concerns, and cross-cultural stress. His goal is to help people gain clarity, overcome challenges, and move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

Approach to Care

Mitch holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor’s in Philosophy from the Pontifical Lateran University of Rome. Having lived in Latin America, Europe, and throughout the Middle East, he brings a deep understanding of cultural identity and the emotional complexities of adapting to new environments. Mitch is fluent in English, Arabic, Spanish, Italian, and Hebrew, and is committed to creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.
